Bringing Awareness to Male Breast Cancer

What’s Behind The Pecs? is a dedicated awareness initiative under What’s Behind The Bra?, created to shine a light on male breast cancer—a diagnosis that is often overlooked, misunderstood, and diagnosed late.

Breast cancer does not discriminate by gender. Men have breast tissue too, and early detection can save lives.

Why This Matters

Approximately 1 in 833 men will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime.

Many men delay seeking medical attention due to stigma or lack of awareness
Late diagnoses can lead to more aggressive treatment and poorer outcomes.

Awareness saves lives. Education breaks stigma. Conversation creates change.

Our Mission

To educate, advocate, and support men diagnosed with breast cancer and the families who walk alongside them—while encouraging men to know their bodies and speak up.

What We Do

Know the Signs

Men should speak to a healthcare provider if they notice:

When something doesn’t feel right, get it checked.
